Me and Pete in the wake of Saturday (Pete, Patrick)

[Patrick Stump]

Patrick knocked on Pete's door. He had to talk with him alone. Too many things had been happening and he needed answers. "Pete we need to talk, alone." He added that in case he brought the girl. Which was the main reason he needed to talk. "Meet me in the training room."

They called it the training room but it was used for more then combat training, It was a dinning room, a living room, a game room. And just a place where the Young bloods can forget that there was a war going on for once. There were a few empty pizza boxes on a small coffee table. An old couch that looks like it had seen better days. A few missed matched folding lawn chairs. A microwave and small refrigerator was all it had.

Patrick sat on the old couch waiting for Pete. His fedora was left on the pizza boxes and his jacket was draped over a lawn chair. He held his face in his hands for a moment, he was worried how Pete would take this.

Rebel had left his room. Not as a decision of course. She was going to stay, but she needed her stuff, what she had with her. So she left, given her his number and gone home. When he heard Patrick's voice at the door, he knew it was serious. Pete stood up, going over to the training room, where Patrick sat, his face in his hands. Pete sat across from him, pretty worried for his friend. He usually had some stress building up, but with him, Joe, and Andy around he could handle all of the jobs needing to be done. But now the girls coming around, and the buildup of vampires in the woods.. it was a lot for the both of them. "What's up man? You okay?" Pete asked, a little concerned. He had a hunch that he was going to ask about Rebel, but there was something else about his body language that Pete couldn't read Patrick about. There was something else.

"When we started this, the whole idea of a hidden base was it would stay hidden." He looked up at him. "Not for you to bring one of your female friends here." Patrick knew that Pete had a problem with women. Pat just did not want this to blow up in his face. And her blowing their cover, lose lips. Patrick knew nothing of this girl, expect she was taken along with Alexis by vampires in the woods.

"How long is she going to be staying here? And does she know what goes on here? Were vampire hunters Pete. You know what would happen if they found out we have people we care about. " His face showed worry. He was still shaken by that dream he had. He was turned into a demon and hunted down his Sister. But what this really boiled down to was now that he told Cat they were brother and Sister, he had never been more overprotected towards anyone. Even though she could hand herself. Patrick at not seen her full wereleopard yet.

"He would use them to get to us." He screwed up and said he. He had not told Pete he saw Breden in a dream. And that Cat had helped him at the store. In the flesh and blood. Pat saw Pete kill him. And now he is back. And was upstairs in their shop. It waived heavy on his mind. Patrick seemed to take all the troubles the team faces to heart. To keep everyone safe had been his mission since he found Pete in the floor of his Kitchen the night Pete was turned.

"She's different. She has weapons that can help us. And besides 'Rick, I wouldn't have brought anyone else who I didn't think could help." Pete stood up. "And what about that girl you saw? Hmm? Yeah, I knew it was a girl, and probably a pretty one at that. It took you preetty long to get back here after the attack. You probably dropped her off at the hospital and stayed with her! Who knows what could've slipped out from that!" Calm down Pete, you know what happens when you get mad. Things get ugly. But as soon as Patrick said he, his face went as white as a ghost. "He? You don't mean..." Pete was gone now, replaced with that familiar feeling of pure, uncontrolled anger. "I.... I watched him die. I was there pat.. you can NOT be telling me that THAT FUCKING DEMON IS BACK!! HE WAS DEAD, WE ALL SAW IT!! PATRICK WHAT HAVE YOU NOT BEEN TELLING ME?!?!?"

Calm down Pete, you know what happens when you get mad. Things get ugly. And don't call me Rick. What kind of weapon does she have? What if she gets hurt? We are dealing with something more then just vamps." Patrick said as he stood.

" It is not who you think. No William is dead. Pat ignored the other things he said. But a part of him knew he was right. But when he is with Alexis things seem different, better. He was letting his feelings cloud his judgment. He also knew Pete had a right to know.


"Breden. I have been having these nightmares about him. And so has Cat. The day I told her she was my sister. He was in the store. Cat rang him up, nothing happened. But it was during the day. Not sure how though. Look Pete I did not want to tell you cause you were the one that beheaded him. And I know how you get."

Pete sighed exhaustively. The truth, you have to tell him the truth.. "Shit... William, that lying bastard- Brendon?!?" He looked at Patrick and started laughing. "I had a feeling the whole time he was around. Finally back from L.A hell, huh." He sat down. "Girl's name is Rebel. She can control and make fire. And I don't mean like survivalist. She is a 'fire bender' of sorts. It's awesome and dangerous, she has no idea how to control it." He stood up, stretching his legs. "William probably brought him back from the dead, the cocky sonofabitch." He had lots of feelings about Patrick and Cat being together, but in a more related sense. "Connected dreams? That's a new one, he must have gotten stronger. Wonder how that turned out.." Pete sat on the floor; he was done walking around. He knew he needed to get out. "Here's the deal; next time this happens, we have to get together. I have a feeling that if we're all in the dream together, we can figure out a war plan. That may sound crazy, but I think it'll work."

"'Fire bender?" Patrick sat back down on the couch and slumped over. Wishing for the times when it was just see vampire, kill vampire. "Like Jean Gray type stuff. I did't think that was even a thing. She won't burn down the place by accident? I hope. And what else do you know about her Pete? Can we trust her? " He took a minute then looked at Pete. "Do you trust her?" If he trusted her then Pat would try.

"It was me and Cat this time. Hard to tell who it will be next time." He said about the dreams and the plain Pete had. "So ya, sticking together is best. Even if it is just a dream. Problem is I keep telling myself that but yet I feel like it still has hold of me." He said more to himself then Pete. He still was upset from it, and tried to hide it the best he could. He looked down at his hands. "I know how it turned out. I was there. I was a demon Pete. A yellowed eyed demon. With these hands I held a knife and cut into my sister's stomach. She felt everything too. Her blood covered my hands. And a part of me loved it. We are both still messed up from it." He looked mostly at the floor then Pete. "Breden showed up. He wasn't a vampire anymore. Am not sure what he was. I pretend to know all the answers. And we have gotten by. Hell we were good at being hunters. Now I don't know. I don't know what to make of this. And finding out there is more then just vampires. And my long lost sister is a wereleopard. And there is a female in our place that can create fire and can not control it. Let's burn the place down wail we are at it. And the thought I could turn into a monster. Pete." He was stress and tried. Unsure of what to say next to his best friend. They had been through so much together. And it was Pete that got him into the whole supernatural world. His friend was kidnapped and made a vampire. He was not just going to sit and take it. He had to fight back. He was losing that fight he once had.

    Pete knelt down, grabbed Patrick and hugged him. In all of the years that they have been together, this has probably been the most stressful year. No one could deal with all of it. "Listen. We're gonna get through this. Gimme some stuff to do, I got it." He chuckled and let go. "You can trust her. She's feisty and awesome. She can handle herself; we'll be fine." He sat down next to Patrick. “If I know you, then I know that Brendon doesn’t stand a chance against that mind of yours. But I think as a precaution, we should get some training. For everyone.” He grabbed two drinks, put some animal blood into his, and handed Patrick the other one. “I think for now you need to take a looong nap. I’ll keep watch. Anything happens to either of us, we go out guns blazing.”

Pete always knew just what to say. He was the poet of the group and wrote most of their lyrics. But even his words of comfort still did nothing to claim his nerves after that dream. Patrick may not be himself again. He patted Pete on the back when he hugged him. "Thanks Pete."

"Right now the best thing you can do is use what every vamp powers you have let. See if anything is off around town. Ask around, hit the normal spots. If he is alive, he won't stay hidden for long. His ego will be his down fall."

Pete let go of him and he did the same. "If You trust her Pete then I will help. I need to look at her powers. If that will be okay? See what the best way to control it is. Maybe I can rig up something for her. "

He watched Pete sit next to him. "I wish I had the kind of faith in me that you do." Patrick was always thought as of the brains and heart of the group. He could make anything to use in a fight, from a gun that shoots a net, to a rocket launcher. And even the formula that has slowly turned Pete human again for the most part. He has watched his friend drink blood for over six years now. It never got even easier. Sometimes he would swear Pete would put it in a clear glass just so Pat would have to look at it. His face read of his disgusted taste. "Blood again."

He took the glass from him. At this point he did not care what was in it as long as it was not blood. He brought his glass up to touch it with Pete's then took a drink. He still was not sure what was in it. Just that it burned going down.


"Pete do you even want to be completely free of blood? I mean I could try and make a stronger formula. Become one hundred percent human.
